Some sex positions, like cowgirl or doggy style, are pretty self-explanatory. Others, like the Amazon, much less so. Truly, I have no idea who came up with the name, but if I were to venture a guess, it’s because the female partner is taking on a more traditionally dominant role, much like an Amazonian warrior.
Fair warning: It’s not reaaaaally a beginner-level position, but if you’re down to get your Xena on and you both trust each other, here’s how to get the most out of this move.
If you take a look at Fig. A. above, this position looks an awful lot like a combo between missionary and cowgirl. Aka, he lies down on his back, with his knees bent up in the air in a table-top-ish position.
