Jimmy Choo CEO Joins Coty Board; Uma Oils Appoints Sales VP

Here are the latest executive moves in the beauty industry, coming from Coty Inc., which has appointed two new board members, and more.
Coty Appoints Two to Board
At Coty, Pierre Denis and Beatrice Ballini have joined the board.
Denis has been the chief executive officer of Jimmy Choo since 2012, but also has extensive beauty industry experience. He started his career in perfume at Jean Patou, before joining the perfume and cosmetics division of LVMH in 1992. He later became the Asia Pacific managing director for Parfums Christian Dior in 1999, adding responsibility for Christian Dior Couture in 2003. He later ran the John Galliano brand as managing director, where he developed the contemporary lines and grew the licensing business.
Jimmy Choo currently has a fragrance licensing deal with Inter Parfums.
Ballini, a senior member of the retail practice at Russell Reynolds Associates, has also joined the Coty board. At Russell Reynolds, Ballini leads family business services and is a steering committee member of the board and ceo advisory group. Before joining Russell Reynolds, Ballini was chief executive officer for a men's clothing manufacturer in Milan, and before that, held positions at Goldman Sachs in M&A, and at Bain & Co.
Ayurvedic Beauty Brand Uma Oils Hires Vice President of Sales
Uma Oils, an Ayurvedic beauty and wellness brand, has appointed Monica Gallegos as vice president of worldwide sales.
Gallegos will be in charge of strengthening relationships with global retail partners, buyers, merchandisers and sales associates in all markets, with a focus on accelerating brand growth and innovation. Uma has planned expansions in Australia, China and New Zealand.
Gallegos was most recently at Stratosphere Beauty Consulting, where she helped developed sales and marketing plans for emerging beauty brands, including Angela Caglia and Keiko Mecheri. Before that, she headed retail sales and business development for North America at Augustinus Bader, where she helped the brand launch in luxury retailers like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. She's also worked at Le Métier de Beauté, Sisley Paris and RéVive skin care.
L:A Bruket Hires Stanislas Le Bert
Swedish natural skin-care brand L:A Bruket has hired Stanislas Le Bert as deputy general manager of sales and marketing.
Le Bert's history includes time at luxury fragrance brands Byredo and Diptyque. At L:a Bruket, Le Bert will help the brand's expansion efforts, which include U.S. retail distribution and opening a Paris-based subsidiary. The Paris office will support international sales and marketing activities.
The Makeup Show Taps Danessa Myricks 
The Makeup Show, a professional beauty trade show, has tapped Danessa Myricks as a consultant as the business works to transform its model.
Myricks is tasked with "bringing diversity to the forefront" for the Makeup Show's Chicago show, as well as throughout 2020.  Myricks will also oversee education, and is tasked with bringing global makeup artists together for the show.
